    • TC Legends Homes built this 1,040-ft2 affordable home in Bellingham, Washington, to the high performance criteria of the U.S. Department of Energy Zero Energy Ready Home (ZERH) program.
    • The 10.25-inch-thick roof panels provide continuous insulation across the roof deck and vaulted ceilings throughout the home's interior.
    • ENERGY STAR appliances and low-flow plumbing fixtures add to energy and water savings.
    • The insulated concrete slab is sealed and polished to provide a durable inexpensive flooring that also provides thermal mass.
    • A mini-split heat pump provides highly efficient heating and cooling.
    • Triple-pane windows are highly insulating (U=0.18) to slow heat transfer while letting in plenty of sunlight.
    • The heat pump uses 5.33 times less electricity to heat the space than a conventional electric resistance heater.
    • Graphite-enhanced structural insulated panels come to the job site pre-cut and ready for quick assembly into an airtight, continuously insulated structure.
    • Air sealing measures include caulking at rim joists and taping of SIP panel seams.
    • All penetrations through the base plate are caulked or foamed.
