This 2020 Energy Exchange Extra session discusses real-life examples of energy savings performance contracts (ESPCs), utility energy service contracts (UESCs), and ESPC ENABLE projects converting a variety of energy conservation measures (ECMs) and focuses on best practices and lessons learned during project development, financing, construction, and the performance period.

This training will educate attendees on how to use the eProject Builder (ePB) greenhouse gas (GHG) calculation tool to develop estimates of project GHG emissions, and to compare different project scenarios' potential GHG emissions impacts.

This training consists of an in-depth overview of financing for Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPCs). Attendees will gain a strong understanding of the ESPC indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) financing process, components of the interest rate, and strategies on how to reduce interest costs while gaining an appreciation of the ESPC IDIQ requirement for competition in financing.

The Compliance Tracking System (CTS) is administered by the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) to track federal agencies' progress toward meeting Section 432 of the Energy Independence and Security Act (EISA) of 2007. This training educates attendees on how to efficiently transfer their project and measurement and verification data from ePB to the CTS. The ePB CTS reporting feature partially automates the transfer of project data between the two systems.

This training informs attendees about an innovative way to integrate energy conservation measures (ECM) with "indeterminate" savings into ESPCs and UESCs (i.e., ones whose savings aren't clear from a typical performance contract's (PC) investment-grade audit, or whose savings are likely to vary from year to year.)

This training will provide attendees with an overview of the tax incentive changes, their implications for federal performance contracting, and discuss strategies such as energy savings performance contracts (ESPC) energy sales agreements, to monetize tax incentives.

This training will cover contracting officer duties, contract requirements, key documents with pertinent information, agency roles, and responsibilities, agency process of voucher/billing submitted by the contractor, and close-out procedures at the completion of the performance period.
