First Thursday Seminar covers the need for additional combined heat and power (CHP) resources, reviews the use of CHP in the Federal sector, and summarizes various prime mover and thermally activated technologies and their applications.

This training course will present how to develop a comprehensive water management program as it relates to federal requirements and the elements of a comprehensive water management process for federal facilities.

The Federal Energy Management Program is helping agencies understand how to meet decarbonization goals with grid interactive efficient buildings (GEB). This training will provide learners with an introduction to GEB, how to work with utilities, and opportunities for federal sites.

The Compliance Tracking System (CTS) is administered by the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) to track federal agencies' progress toward meeting Section 432 of the Energy Independence and Security Act (EISA) of 2007. This training educates attendees on how to efficiently transfer their project and measurement and verification data from ePB to the CTS. The ePB CTS reporting feature partially automates the transfer of project data between the two systems.

In this 2020 Energy Exchange Extra session, presenters demonstrate how to successfully obtain advanced metering data, analyze the data to identify issues, and improve building operations and maintenance efficiency.

For solar PV systems located on remote federal sites, the need to monitor these systems is even more important yet there are often challenges in establishing a telecommunications (network) connection to the power meters. This training focuses on options to establish a network connection on solar PV system located on remote federal sites.

Course covers operations and maintenance (O&M) best practices for photovoltaic (PV) systems of 100 kW or less, including planning for a PV O&M scope of work and maintenance procedures to keep the system operating at optimal capacity.

This training provides federal agency staff with an overview of operations and maintenance (O&M) best practices for on-site wind energy projects and considerations to address in an O&M agreement with a third-party service provider.

Course outlines the necessary steps for directing ongoing or new operation of photovoltaic systems for the life of the project across a variety of system types, sizes, and environments.
