Sandra Cannon

Sandra Cannon provides technical support for the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Sustainable Acquisition Program, which involves identifying environmentally healthy products and helping DOE sites transition to those products. Sandra is the author of The Competitive Advantage: EcoPurchasing and the head of EcoPurchasing Consultants. She has initiated multiple green procurement projects, including Build a Green Walla Walla, the Builders ReSupply, the $mart Business Partners Program. Prior to fiscal year 2007, Sandra worked for Battelle (operator of Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, PNNL). In this role, Sandra was responsible for helping PNNL and other DOE sites transition to healthier, less costly, more sustainable products. She has received several White House Closing the Circle awards for green purchasing.
